We say it each year and we will say it again, the Ballito Pro is an event that can’t be missed. As a local, the energy felt in the build-up of the Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neil and hustle and bustle during the event is like no other.
This year the event celebrated 54 years in the making, encompassing sustainability, growth, and inclusivity as part of this year’s theme Konke KuLuhlaza touching on the importance of ‘going green for the big blue’.
The theme played out in various initiatives campaigned by key stakeholders of the event – read here. The Ballito UIP with the support of KwaDukuza Municipality, raised funds to install a fourth access ramp to the beach, forming part of its Beach Access for All campaign.
Thankfully the weather played its part, with beautiful winter days bringing in the crowds to enjoy the many festivities on offer. A big thank you to our cleaning, greening, and maintenance teams for keeping our precinct looking good throughout the event.
