Be Part of Our Beach Access Plan
Our beautiful Ballito beaches are much loved by our locals and visitors alike for the variety of rock pools, safe swimming, and great surf. Mornings are well spent grabbing a coffee at the local barista and watching the huge pods of dolphin’s swim by but unfortunately not everyone gets to enjoy what our beaches have on offer.
As the Ballito UIP we have had several requests to build additional easy access ramps down to our beaches. Ramps permit wheelchair users, people pushing strollers as well as those who struggle with stairs, access onto our beloved beaches.
Let’s ramp up our access!
Help us reach our R40 000 target.
Big Plans
The Ballito UIP and with the support of KwaDukuza Municipality, would like to install the addition of a 4th access ramp down to our beaches along with additional maintenance in the area to maintain our Blue Flag Status.
Along with Ballito Promenade there are currently 3 access points, namely: Willard’s Beach, Clarke Bay and the beach just south of La Montagne Hotel.
We are asking our community to support us in this initiative to reach the estimate total of R40 000. This cost is based on a previous ramp installation – yip, we’ve assisted in this process before – we know the costs and what it takes to get this done.
Help us RAMP UP our access!
Donations will be held in an account by the Ballito UIP Non Profit Company finance team and the Beach Access Plan executed upon, once we have hit the R40 000 target. In line with our values, we will remain transparent and continue to update you on the progress of the plan. Donate using the Zapper code alongside.
