The Ballito UIP team has been actively addressing various cleaning, greening, and maintenance tasks across the precinct, ensuring that our community remains safe, clean, and beautiful. Earlier this month, we experienced some high winds that caused a few minor issues around the precinct. Thanks to the swift response of our team, these issues were quickly resolved.
Promenade Plank Repairs
Our team has continued with the vital task of repairing planks along the Ballito Promenade. These repairs are essential for maintaining the safety and aesthetic appeal of this popular walkway. More planks are scheduled to be replaced in the coming weeks to ensure the promenade remains in good use for residents and visitors alike.
Pothole Repairs Across the Precinct
Potholes can be a nuisance and a safety hazard, which is why our team has been diligently repairing potholes throughout the precinct. The recent round of repairs has significantly improved driving conditions and enhanced overall road safety.
Stormwater Drain Repairs
In response to the high winds and their impact on our infrastructure, our team has carried out necessary repairs to stormwater drains in the precinct. These repairs are crucial for preventing water-related issues and ensuring effective drainage. We have more stormwater drain repairs scheduled for next week, particularly in the Business Park area, to further strengthen our infrastructure.
Garden Revamps Continue
Our ongoing garden revamp projects are bringing fresh life and vibrancy to the precinct. The team has been hard at work planting new greenery and maintaining existing gardens, ensuring that our public spaces are lush and inviting. These efforts contribute to the overall beauty and environmental health of our community.
In addition to these key projects, our team is continuously engaged in various minor maintenance tasks across the precinct. Whether it’s dealing with unexpected issues or continuing with planned projects, the Ballito UIP remains dedicated to enhancing and preserving our community.
A Special Thanks to KDM
We would also like to extend a huge thank you to KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) for their excellent response in clearing a large tree that fell in the garden near the M4 Engen garage corner. The tree was removed within two days, showcasing KDMβs commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment for all.
We appreciate the ongoing support from residents and partners as we work together to keep Ballito a beautiful and thriving place to live, work, and visit.
