Opportunity for Ballito businesses to host skilled youth for workplace training

The Umfolozi TVET College (UTVET), in partnership with the National Business Initiative (NBI), is calling on Greater Ballito businesses to host youth candidates for workplace training in installation, repairs, and maintenance (IRM).

This initiative offers local businesses in construction, engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance a unique opportunity to:
✅ Mentor and develop young talent
✅ Assess potential future employees at no cost
✅ Support local skills development

How It Works

  • 29 youth candidates are completing training at UTVET and will be ready for workplace experience by February 2025.
  • The programme covers all stipends (R4,500 per learner per month) and provides necessary protective gear and support.
  • Businesses simply need to provide a safe and structured work environment for hands-on learning.
