The Ballito UIP has started the landscaping project on the old taxi rank site, with completion expected by end July. Forming part of the UIP program of special projects, this piece of work includes planting grass and trees, and installing paving, benches and bollards. The ongoing maintenance and cleaning of this area will be done by the UIP. The upgrade of the old Ballito sign is being addressed with KwaDukuza Municipality.
