Over the past few weeks, the KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) has played an active role in maintaining and improving key public areas across the Ballito UIP precinct. Their on-the-ground work has contributed positively to overall precinct functionality and appearance, especially as activity increases heading into the festive season.
Road markings and signage improvements
KDM teams repainted road traffic lines in various high-use areas, improving both visibility and road safety. New signage was also installed where required, helping ensure that directional and regulatory information remains clear for motorists and pedestrians.
Streetlight and public lighting repairs
Several non-functional streetlights were attended to this month, strengthening night-time visibility and pedestrian safety. These repairs form an important part of keeping the precinct well-lit and welcoming throughout the summer months.
Grass cutting, beach and verge care
Municipal teams also completed grass cutting and beach cleanups in targeted areas, supporting overall greening efforts and enhancing the appearance of beaches, gateways and pedestrian routes.
