With the holiday season just around the corner, KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) has been making great progress in improving key areas of the Ballito precinct. Their efforts are helping to ensure that roads and public spaces are safe and ready to welcome residents and visitors alike.
Pothole and Surface Repairs
KDM is currently repairing potholes and addressing surface issues on Ballito Drive and Douglas Crowe Drive. The work has been excellent so far. These repairs are essential for safer and smoother journeys, especially during this busy time of the year.
Streetlight Repairs
Several streetlights around the precinct have been repaired by KDM, enhancing safety and visibility in key areas. We hope to see more lighting repairs from KDM soon as functional lighting is particularly important as the precinct prepares for increased activity during the holidays.

To assist with keeping the precinct well-lit, the Ballito UIP continues to conduct weekly streetlight audits, flagging any issues for KDM’s attention. This ongoing collaboration ensures that necessary repairs are carried out promptly.
