This July, visible progress has been made across the Ballito precinct thanks to the ongoing efforts of KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) and the Department of Transport (DoT).
Refreshed road markings, lighting repairs and grass cutting
KDM has been active throughout the month, repainting traffic lines in both the upper and lower areas of the precinct. These efforts have enhanced visibility and road safety for all users. In addition, streetlight repairs were carried out on Douglas Crowe Drive and in the lower precinct, improving public safety and nighttime visibility. As part of their routine tasks, the precinct also received a fresh look with precinct wide grass cutting.
Beach facilities and Ballito Pro support
Earlier this month, KDM also completed maintenance work on the ablution facilities at Willard Beach β just in time to support the influx of visitors during the OβNeill Ballito Pro. Their contributions during the event were much appreciated.
DoT makes a mark on the M4
The Department of Transport played a key role in ensuring the M4 was looking its best, with thorough grass cutting and verge maintenance. The results were well received and added to the overall impression of a well-cared-for precinct.
A big thank you to both KDM and DoT for their commitment to keeping Ballito clean, safe, and welcoming.
