URGENT UPDATE: If you heading to uMhlanga DON’T use the M4 between uMhlanga and Sibaya as it has been closed by the Metro Police due to the side of the road being washed away (see location map below), as a result of the heavy rainfall. The Department of Transport, Road Inspectors are on site assessing damages and identifying preventative measures to prevent further damages as more rain is forecast. The UIP will continue to provide updates on the situation.
Please take necessary precautions while driving in the heavy rainfall and avoid this area.
