It’s been a busy two weeks in the precinct. If you have driven around Ballito you would have noticed a buzz of activity by our Ballito UIP cleaning, greening and maintenance teams in green. Here is what we have been up to in the precinct:
Repairing Sidewalk Paving and Stormwater Drain in Stewarts Drive: Our team successfully repaired the sidewalk paving and stormwater drain in Stewarts Drive, leading to a significant improvement in pedestrian accessibility and safety. This achievement underscores our commitment to quick turnarounds and effective infrastructure maintenance.
Progress on Plant Palette Transformation on P445:The ongoing project to change the plant palette on P445 is progressing smoothly. By introducing new plant varieties, we’re enhancing the visual appeal and biodiversity of the area, contributing to a more vibrant streetscape.
Weeding and Pruning of Gardens: Our dedicated team has been tirelessly weeding and pruning gardens across the precinct. These efforts are essential for maintaining the beauty of our surroundings and ensuring a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.
Focus on Pothole Repairs: Addressing road safety concerns, we’ve prioritized pothole repairs, completing 16 minor repairs this week alone. Ensuring smooth and safe journeys for all remains a top priority for us.
Collaborative Beach Cleaning Efforts: Thanks to the collaborative efforts of Dolphin Coast Waste and KwaDukuza Municipality, our beaches have been cleared of debris that washed up. This collective action helps preserve the pristine beauty of our coastline for everyone to enjoy.
We’re proud of these achievements and remain dedicated to serving our community with excellence. Your ongoing support and cooperation are invaluable as we continue working towards making Ballito the best it can be.
