Ballito has always drawn holidaymakers in their numbers from all over the country to enjoy the area’s many leisure and natural attractions. 2021 was no exception.
Ballito UIP precinct manager Thierry Leclezio reports that the 2021 festive season was possibly one of the best since the UIP was established in 2015. He owed the success to no serious criminal incidents in the public open spaces that the UIP are aware of and the ability of the UIP to keep the area consistently clean despite the crowds.
Thierry thanked KDM, SAPS, the Ballito Beach Collective and other stakeholders for their efforts in keeping Ballito safe and clean. He concluded: “This festive season’s huge success demonstrates the power we have to get things done when we work collectively towards a common goal.”
The boundaries of the Ballito UIP incorporates the entrances to Ballito on the N2 and M4, Ballito Business Park and surrounding commercial properties, Ballito Drive, Compensation Road, the boardwalk, and adjacent beach.
