A quick update regarding the Ballito Promenade and the Ballito Beaches that have experienced high tides as a result of inclement weather this weekend.
A lot of debris is strewn across our beaches, this is particularly true at Salmon Bay and La Montagne–Bog Bay. Over the subsequent high tide cycles, we expect more debris to wash ashore. Our dedicated teams will begin cleaning up our beaches and restoring them to their pristine state from tomorrow morning.
The high tides also took their toll on the stairway at Foch Le Roux and the stairs at Salmon Bay, causing damage that requires attention. For the safety of our community and visitors, we have installed danger tape in the affected areas. Repairs will take place soon.
